1 lb ground beef
½ tsp salt and pepper to taste; add more to taste
1 large onion, diced
½ bell pepper, diced
2 stalks celery, sliced
4 cloves garlic
1 15 ounce can tomato sauce
2 15 ounce cans diced tomatoes
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
3 tbsp soy sauce
4 cups elbow noodles, penne, ziti, rigatoni, or radiatore pasta
2 1/2 cups water
3 bay leaves
parsley, diced for garnish (optional)
DO NOT DOUBLE THIS RECIPE!
The Instant Pot will not come to pressure, and the pasta will not completely cook.
Turn the Instant Pot onto saute. When hot, add ground beef, garlic, salt, pepper, onion, bell pepper, and celery. Cook until the meat is browned.
Drain the fat, then add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, soy sauce, water, noodles, and bay leaves.
Set your Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 4 minutes. (5 minutes for thicker pastas)
When the timer is up, perform a quick pressure release.
Take out the bay leaves and give everything a good stir.
Top with Parmesan Cheese, garnish with parsley (if using), and enjoy!
